Chris Keng

About

Chris Keng (also credited as Christopher Keng) lives and works an an illustrator in Los Angeles. He has been painting professionally since 1995.

After relocating to Los Angeles on June 10th, 1986, Chris Keng began taking art classes in his High School years. During his Freshman year, Chris became acquainted with various art mediums such as charcoal, colored pencils, acrylic, and oil paints. Where it started out as a hobby, drawing and painting gradually transformed into his passion.  Inspired by comic books and the fashion illustrations, Chris went on to pursue his education in Communication Arts at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. In May 1995, he received Bachelor of Arts Degree for Illustration.

After graduating from Otis, Chris ventured into working as computer colorist on comic books produced by Top Cow Productions, Inc. such as CYBER FORCE, WITCHBLADE, and 21 to name a few. He then continued his career in working on computer games for Cloud 9 Interactive, Inc. The two titles that were released are I CAN BE A DINO FINDER and I CAN BE AN ANIMAL DOCTOR. 

His favorite artists who significantly inspire and influence his current work include J.C. Leyendecker, Drew Struzan, Alex Ross, Steve Hanks, Kerne Erickson, Wyland, Thomas Blackshear, Mark Zug, and Scott M. Fischer.

Chris' Interests include surfers, human anatomy, animals, learning English Vocabulary, landscaping, and the outdoors.  He hopes to be able to travel very very soon.
